Reading List for 2010
This year, I decided to try to read through the entire list of works of Lucy Maud Montgomery, Louisa May Alcott and Frances Hodgson Burnett. I then added selected works of Dorothy E. Stevenson, Myrtle Reed, and Jules Verne. I’m also going to read a few famous Russian pieces. If I read a book NOT on this list, I will add that title to the bottom of the list. Books in bold are still to be read. Some of these are very difficult to find, if anyone is wondering.

- Legends of the Guardian King (four books) by Karen Hancock. Interesting allegory, sort of a mix of Narnia/LOTR/Inheritance Cycle (Paolini). Depending on your view of eschatology, you’ll either agree, or chalk it up to fiction, with some of her conclusions, but overall it was a fun read.

- The Scarlett Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
- Daughter of Joy by Kathleen Morgan, Journals of Corrie Bell Hollister Series (11 books) by Michael Phillips,

Just to warn you. The Emily of New Moon books are really boring. I couldn’t get through the third one.

I highly doubt they can be as challenging as the Brothers Karamazov… but my goal is no matter how boring or bleh the material; I WILL read through them.
Call it a silly self-challenge.
